Kathleen Boice is a strategic healthcare leader with a passion for improving the day-to-day experience of patients, physicians, and healthcare team members. In her 25+ years of healthcare experience, Kathleen has managed the strategy, operations, and redesign of many direct-care and support services departments, including: patient safety, risk management, process improvement, compliance, health information management, and clinical research. In her role as a process improvement leader, Kathleen partnered with care providers and team members to improve the patient experience and increase care provider and team satisfaction. Kathleen has had the privilege of working with local teams in several different organizations to develop new processes, improve patient safety, and increase patient, provider, and team satisfaction through the implementation of business process improvement systems. The teams were able to create sustainable and meaningful change through various efforts, such as: reducing errors in a large inpatient pharmacy, redesigning several primary care practices, designing and implementing efficient processes for disability program management, and saving $1.2 million in outside legal counsel fees. Kathleen holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences; she is a certified Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt and has held certifications in compliance and risk management/patient safety. Kathleen lives in Roseville, California with her husband and finds joy in welcoming her college-age children home during breaks from their respective universities.
